Omega 3 Max 35/25 - 120 Softgels

Highly concentrated Omega-3 in triglyceride form – 350 mg EPA and 250 mg DHA per daily dose from wild-caught anchovies from the Peruvian deep sea. The 35/25 ratio stands for 35% EPA and 25% DHA of the total fish oil concentrate.

• Triglyceride form & Bioavailability: According to independent studies, the triglyceride form has approx. 70% higher bioavailability than the cheaper ethyl ester form (Dyerberg et al., Eur J Clin Nutr, 2010). Ethyl ester omega-3 must first be re-esterified in the body before it can be utilized.
• EFSA-approved Health Claims: EPA + DHA contribute to normal heart function (from 250 mg/day, EFSA 2010). DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function (250 mg/day, EFSA 2010). DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision (250 mg/day, EFSA 2010).
• Anchovies from the Peruvian deep sea: Small, short-lived fish species like anchovies accumulate significantly fewer heavy metals (mercury, lead) than large predatory fish (tuna, swordfish). Wild-caught fish from the Humboldt Current (Peru) are considered particularly low in pollutants and sustainably certifiable (MSC standard).
• REDUCE-IT Study: This large RCT (Bhatt et al., NEJM, 2019) showed a 25% reduction in cardiovascular events in high-risk patients with 4g of high-dose EPA/day – a milestone in omega-3 research.
• Recommended daily dose: The EFSA recommends 250 mg EPA + DHA daily for heart health; therapeutic studies use 2–4 g/day. This formulation provides 600 mg EPA + DHA per 2 capsules (daily dose).
